Day 8–Holiday Campground–Ochlockonee Bay, Wakulla County, Florida

on Monday, January 5, 2015

We woke this morning to 53 degree weather and a biting, cold wind. The storm that moved through last evening brought in a cold front. So its back to jeans, and long sleeve shirts.

After stopping for groceries and a quick lunch we made our way to the Holiday Campground in route to Fort Pickens. It is beautiful here and having stayed here once before we knew it would be a good stop over  for the night. We looked for a reference to it in our blogs but for some reason we couldn’t find anything. Very strange, because we remembered great detail about the CG. Both of us searched but still no pictures or anything in any  of the multiple blogs we looked at. It appears that it really didn’t happen as we remembered. It kind of feels like we are in the “Twilight Zone. “ LOL

The grounds here are very nice so we took Jewel for a walk and enjoyed the early evening warm-up.

Before dinner we were provided with a beautiful sunset.

After a light dinner we settled in for a quiet evening reading and chatting. Tomorrow we will continue our journey, making  decisions as to our next stop in the morning.
