Day 11 - St Joseph’s Peninsula State Park, Port St. Joe, Florida

on Wednesday, January 7, 2015

Well, with Jewel being ill and intermittent  net service I completely missed a day of blogging. Although this states day 11 it is really day 10. WHEW. Took a few minutes to figure this out his morning.

It was a bright and sunny day although a little cool. In the low  40’s but tolerable. After breakfast we took Jewel for an hour long walk along the CG boardwalk and around the entire perimeter. Toward the end of the walk is when Jewel had her first bout of vomiting and the rest is posted already.

After lunch we walked out to the beach and sat  enjoying the ocean and sun.

Ron wanted to take a picture and insisted that we take our coats off. BRRRR! Don’t let the picture fool you because after the picture was taken we quickly retrieved our coats and hats then sat and enjoyed the beach. You ask???? Why are you sitting on the beach in coats and hats –  The Answer!  Because we are at the beach and we are going to sit on it even if we have to freeze! LOL

As predicted by 3 pm we could feel the drop in temp begin.  The balmy 40 degree weather  was coming to an end  as the wind picked. The deep freeze heading our way.

Back at the MH we were looking out the windshield and were once again blessed with the site of multiple deer grazing the wild berries.

Amazingly, at home, despite the fact that we live near a highway we have a family of deer that graze on out berry bushes in front of our house.

Of course, Ron had to get his evening picture of the dramatic  sunset. Despite the cold it still feels like we are in paradise.

Now that I updated the blog will be moving on to the  Fort Pickens blog  – my favorite CG.
