We arrived at the Ronald Reagan Library at 10 am and were surprised at the number of people already there. The library sits on a 100 acre hilltop overlooking Simi Valley and is quite spectacular.
The home in the middle of the picture represents the many mansions we could see from the library. Notice the private dirt bike track on the property. Someone was practicing on that track while we were there.
As we toured the library we were brought back to the years that Mr. Reagan was President and remembered all of the great advances this country made under his watch. He was a true American who loved every thing this country stands for (unlike our current president)
We have been to the Kennedy Library and the LBJ Library but this one is truly outstanding in both size and presentation.
Air Force One was dismantled and reassembled in the the 90,000 square foot Air Force One Pavilion. An impressive feat.
We were able to board Air Force One but were not allowed to take pictures inside. The same was true of Marine One.
We took our time so that we could watch all of the video presentations and read the displays. We spent so much time reading that Ron forgot to take pictures along the way.
There was also a display of automobiles used in a variety of movies.
We spent about 5 hours at the library with the 800 school kids that came in lots and lots of buses. Despite all the kids that were there they were really well behaved and under good control by there chaperones.
We stopped at President Reagan’s final resting place overlooking Simi Valley.
The library pays homage to a true American who loved his country . He did so much good and was not afraid to admit that he also made mistakes. We truly need another American Patriot in the White House.
