Day 44 – Oxnard, California–Visit with Cousin Nancy

Today we had to bring the MH to the garage. We were up early and had to close up the MH for the move. We dropped it off at the garage at 8:30 am then went to Denny’s for breakfast.

We were able to park the car in front of Denny’s, leave the windows partially open  and watch Jewel from our seats by the window.  Fortunately the mornings and evening here are cool with the afternoon temps in the 80’s so safe to leave her in the car. She does not like being left in the car and was barking at everyone that walked by her.

We arrived at Nancy’s earlier then usual and waited for the call from the garage. Nancy wanted us to watch the movie “the Bucket List.” She said it would make us smile. HMMMM! Two men diagnosed with terminal cancer hoping to fulfill their last wishes. Sounds like a real comedy to me! LOL

We got through the first 30 minutes of the movie when the garage called and told Ron the MH was ready. There was a blown engine fuse causing the issue. Fixed for $99.00.

Off we went to get the MH and bring it back to the CG. Then back to Nancy’s to finish watching “The Bucket List.” Although both sad and funny,  the real message was to enjoy life, family and friends. And that money does not buy you happiness, relationships with family and friends is the true meaning of happiness.  Then again, Ron, Nancy and I know that. Unfortunately there are a lot of people out there who do not.

Then it was on to our next project. Setting up Nancy’s digital picture frame she received from her brother as a birthday gift. Unfortunately, after a long effort, we were unable to get the frame to work properly. Sometime s you can get a defective item. Will be returning it for exchange on Friday.

 

Nancy is certainly a busy lady with multiple visitors again today. Flower was over today with Lenore and she is jumping around just fine. I guess every night Lenore comes over and Nancy gives Flower a  container of food to eat at her home. She reads the label to the dog and Flower gets all excited.

   

  

                                      

I made dinner and then we sat and talked before we  went back to the MH for the night. Tomorrow Nancy has multiple errands to run. We will be going to the Reagan Library. Nancy told  us it is  a stop we cannot miss.
